Fire Mosaic Nature Documentary
Filmed over 2 years, across all seasons and in remote locations, the Walpole Fire Mosaic, is a spectacular look at the biodiversity of our South-West forests.

Commissioned by the Department of Environment and Conservation, and released this year, the film will be showcased in a new permanent display at the Walpole Treetop Walk in the Valley of the Giants. International interest in fire management and the Mosaic Project means the film will also be sent around the country and around the world.

Travelling with the DEC scientists gave us unique access to areas of the SW forests and wetlands normally closed off to the public – locations that provided spectacular backdrops for filming. With over 20 hours of vision to choose from, selecting the shots that made the final cut was a challenge, with plenty of material left for extended versions and other projects!
